I had a hearty breakfast with Dennis and then found Don out front organizing the van and working on his bike. I followed his lead and got busy cleaning and lubricating my bike.
We had both bikes out on racks by the van and this caught the eye of many passerby's. It won't be long before I run out of Ride with Sean cards.
The hotel manager recommended a Thai restaurant for lunch and we took her advice. Hard to believe but we enjoyed some of the best Thai food ever.
Next was a trip to Walmart to stock up with supplies as we head out to Quemado, NM.
We've got 3 back to back tough days ahead of us (about 270 miles) and the winds appear to be coming from the NW.
No more free ride. Time to pay the piper.
So now it's time to take my first siesta of the journey and hope for strength and good luck tomorrow. One day at a time, one mile at a time and we should be fine.
My fortune cookie at the Thai place says "In life, it's good not to get too comfortable". This will ring true is 3 tough days we have ahead of us as Dave mentioned. Looking forward to a good night sleep and better tomorrow.
