Carmel to ragged point


Just a great day. Perfect weather, tail winds and sights of a lifetime. 

Above all, we rode smart, communicated well and despite 6 inch bike lanes that disappeared at cliff overhangs, we had no close calls.

Sean did great, held his line and hydrated a bit more than usual. That's not saying much but at least it's going in the right direction. 

It was a long day with 74 miles and 7,000 feet of climbing and 6,400 feet of steep descents. All were handled well. 

We had breaks at 25 and 50 miles and that worked great. We all arrived at a Ragged point feeling strong.  Had to convince Sean that our plan to rest a day was necessary. He wanted to just keep on rolling. But rest and recovery are as important as training.

We have no real internet service so most of our action shots will have to wait. I actually wrote a long entertaining blog on my PC that would have you in stirches, but all was lost when the Internet went down. So Here's what I have so far:
